No head light or dash lights

Hi, I just bought a 1987 venture royale and have no head light or dash lights the dash instuments work. Checked fuse, bulb, any help? Thanks Chet.

yes on mine it is the starter button, usually on mine if i just give it a flick up,NOT IN, they will come on, there sould be a new switch in Medicine Hat Yamaha, but just haven't been down there this summer during store hours:hurts:
