Moakster Here ya go Moakster http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6069 I made another set using round solid rod with flat stock welded on ends. Stronger than using flat stock for the entire length. Larry
Freebird Posted July 21, 2008 #4 Posted July 21, 2008 I have copied this to the tech library also. Great modification.
Moakster Posted July 21, 2008 Author #5 Posted July 21, 2008 Thanks. I cant figure out why Yamaha made a crash bar that is so fragile? You would think that they would be strong enough to support the bike when leaning on them.
CrazyHorse Posted July 21, 2008 #6 Posted July 21, 2008 My 1st Gen crash bar in my low side crash also took out my plastic water pump tube. So all the coolant leaked out. The crash bar sits very close to that plastic tube and doesnt take much to take them out. Nice design.
