Old thread on crash bar brackets

Been looking for over an hour on the site for the thread on the crash bar brackets that attach to the floorboards to give the bars some strength. Can someone send me a link to the thread?? it would be much appreciated.

I made another set using round solid rod with flat stock welded on ends. Stronger than using flat stock for the entire length.

Thanks. I cant figure out why Yamaha made a crash bar that is so fragile? You would think that they would be strong enough to support the bike when leaning on them.

My 1st Gen crash bar in my low side crash also took out my plastic water pump tube. So all the coolant leaked out. The crash bar sits very close to that plastic tube and doesnt take much to take them out. Nice design.
