bugfish69 Posted July 19, 2008 #1 Posted July 19, 2008 on rear shock?? Has any one attempted to mofiy the valve stem on the rear shock to make it easier to get to? I would like to know if this is possible. Thanks Fat Hands:rotfl:
Freebird Posted July 19, 2008 #2 Posted July 19, 2008 I'm a little confused by this question. The valve stem is just beside the seat, is that the one you are talking about? I've never had a problem getting to it.
bugfish69 Posted July 20, 2008 Author #3 Posted July 20, 2008 Yep that's the one. It's not impossible to get to or anything but it more difficult than I would like with my short fat fingers. While I was cleaning the other day it hit me how easy it would be I could put a 90 degree valve stem in there.
Squidley Posted July 20, 2008 #4 Posted July 20, 2008 That can be a bugger to get to, I haven't seen one, but thats not to say that it can't be done
rod Posted July 20, 2008 #5 Posted July 20, 2008 Would somthing like this work for you? http://patchboy.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=P&Product_Code=17-563&Category_Code=6-24 Good luck. Rod
Carbon_One Posted July 20, 2008 #6 Posted July 20, 2008 The problem with most 90* bent stems is getting enough clearance to screw them on. Not much room there as noted. One could rebend a 90* stem to about 45* and that should work pretty good I think or simply just add an extender stem. Larry
