mini-muffin Posted July 19, 2008 #1 Posted July 19, 2008 I need to know how many folks are gonna be going to the Biltmore on Friday the 8th. I'm going to get in touch with them in the next week or so. They give group discounts I think. Just need a number. Might even get ourselves an earlier open so we could get in before everyone else. Anyway let me know Please. Margaret
mini-muffin Posted July 20, 2008 Author #4 Posted July 20, 2008 Well so far 6 of us. Hope the rest let me know. I think we need at least 20 for a group rate. They don't really let you know on the website, but most places seem to have that as a number. Guess I'll find out. Margaret
Riderduke Posted July 20, 2008 #6 Posted July 20, 2008 Put me down. I'm looking forward to it. I've always wanted to go there. Still not sure if Felecia is going coming yet. so just in case put me down for 2
WilCruise Posted July 21, 2008 #7 Posted July 21, 2008 Damn! We'd really like to join that one but we've burned most of our summer vacation allotment already with Americade / maint day and the Kitchener rally. Sounds like fun - have a great time!
mini-muffin Posted July 21, 2008 Author #11 Posted July 21, 2008 It's the Biltmore house and grounds that was the home of one of the Vanderbuilts. Really big house. Here's the link so you can take a look. http://www.biltmore.com/visit/calendar/default.asp Margaret
granby Posted July 21, 2008 #12 Posted July 21, 2008 We won't be going to Biltmore because we are heading to Cherokee on Friday. Big Ed, and our friend Ronnie, want to give some $$ to the Cherokees. Hope ya'll have a great time. The house and grounds are beautiful for those that have never been there.
Venturous Randy Posted July 21, 2008 #14 Posted July 21, 2008 OK, so Laura and I will make 20. How about a Thursday group to the top of Chimney Rock? RandyA
ADC Posted July 21, 2008 #16 Posted July 21, 2008 Never been to the Biltmore, put me down for one. Arthur
Venturing Sole Posted July 22, 2008 #17 Posted July 22, 2008 I definitely want to see Biltmore. Count me in for one. Thanks.
mini-muffin Posted July 22, 2008 Author #18 Posted July 22, 2008 We're up to 22. Just looking at the site for the Biltmore and that friday night they are having a concert. The guest will be BB King. Concert starts at 8 pm. When I call I'll find out about this if anyone is interested in going to the concert that night, just let me know. Could be fun. Here's the link with the prices. I'll find out if they have group rates for the whole thing when I call. http://biltmore.com/buy_tickets/sec/august_8.asp Margaret
SaltyDawg Posted July 22, 2008 #19 Posted July 22, 2008 The BB King Concert is $35.00 on top of the tickets to Biltmore. I'm figuring it will already have been a long day, so Brandy and I will pass on BB King.
mini-muffin Posted July 22, 2008 Author #20 Posted July 22, 2008 Just thought I'd put the info out. I know alot of folks won't want to spend that much. But just in case, I did get a bit excited. I didn't know they did concerts there as well. Margaret
