kenw Posted July 18, 2008 #1 Posted July 18, 2008 Well I opened the wallet and bought an aluma MCT trailer for the bike today. Looked through the old posts and found a company called MCHITCH that has the hitch for a 2006 Venture and also a wiring harness. Has anybody done business with them or do you know of a better dealer. Thanks in advance. Kenw
Tom Posted July 18, 2008 #2 Posted July 18, 2008 Congrats on the New Trailer! Thats what I have and love it,I bought the smaller one and its been a pleasure pulling it. I think there is a member that makes one ...Venturedad??? I think..I bought the hidden hitch from Diamond R A little more expensive but you dont know its there when you take the receiver part off. RSV Angel Posted July 18, 2008 #3 Posted July 18, 2008 (edited) Venturedad is the simplest hitch to install and works very well. It is a reciever style hitch. You can get just the hitch or the hitch and stinger from him. Also if you go to Autozone you can get the Hoppy converter and wire it in with no problem. I would be glad to help you wire it in if you wanted to come on up to Calhoun.here is his website http://venturedad.com/ Good luck Craig Edited July 18, 2008 by RSV Angel
Eddy Posted July 18, 2008 #4 Posted July 18, 2008 I bought one of these for my 07 Venture and I'm pulling a Cyclemate Zephyr with absolutely no problems. You should probably get his stinger with the hitch because it's a good fit. You can hardly see it without the stinger in and the hitch is very simple to install. My trailor came with a wiring harness so I didn't have to buy any sort of after market stuff. If you're not good at wiring stuff, just take it to you local U-haul dealer and let them put it in for you. Actually, it's not too difficult. Eddie Flinchum:sun1:

ronhenry4 Posted August 24, 2008 #6 Posted August 24, 2008 I just got my hitch and harness to put on for my trailer doses anyone know of a diagram to help guid me through putting this on my bike..Ron
Freebird Posted August 24, 2008 #7 Posted August 24, 2008 What year is your bike? Also, it really depends upon how you plan to wire it. If you plan to use an isolation relay (recommended by most) there are a couple of choices with Modulite and Hoppy but both wire up pretty much the same. Here are some instructions on that on a '99 model. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=503
