Dakota Posted July 17, 2008 #1 Posted July 17, 2008 How is the air with the sidecar? Would progressive springs be better in the front?
Rick Butler Posted July 18, 2008 #2 Posted July 18, 2008 Dakota, If you still have stock springs in your 87, then you definitely need heavier springs with the sidecar. And Progressives would be a good choice. Remember for the most part, the air is only there to adjust the ride height. Even with Progressives, you may still need air to adjust for the weight of the car. Hope this helps, Rick
Dakota Posted July 18, 2008 Author #3 Posted July 18, 2008 Rick, the 87 was toast so I picked up an 89 from a local guy said he was a member on this forum, and he already has the progressive springs in. But he disconnected the air lines from the pump and got rid of the control box. Since the parts from the 87 are the same I was thinking of switchin back, but need to find some info on where all the componets are located. Soon as I can find that, and remove the fairings to do the work, the fairings and sidecar are going out to be painted. I have a Freindship III sidecar that was on the 87, that's why I choose to find another Venture, make it easier to do the hook up. Denis
