Iron Rider overnight bag.

Hello All, Need a little help here. Looking at a piece of Iron rider luggage. The over night bag. Problem I think is I have a 07 midnight with the chrome rack on the trunk. Will strapping the bag to the rack spider the paint? Or would it be better to strap it down under the truck? Any help would be great. :confused24:

I have the same luggage ( the main bag ). I strapped it to the rack for two long distance trips. I do not see any signs of webbing in the paint. I own a 06 B/C RSV. Believe me it shows everything. I do not think you will have any issues doing so. Good luck and safe travels. My third trek is coming up, and we are scheduled to ride 2400 miles from L.I. NY to CL OH to Canada to Bar Har Maine to L.I. NY. I let you know how it goes, with the luggage on board.

 

Additionally, I just purchased from a vendor on Ebay a cargo platform which will slilp into the Venture Daddy receiver. This is were the camping equipment will be. You may want to consider something like this as well. Here is the link:

If you contact the vendor a specify a particular size, he may make it up for you and the purchase can be made as a buy it know. He has a standard size up for auction, but I thought it was too big for my use. Good luck.
