E-Fishin-C Posted July 12, 2008 #17 Posted July 12, 2008 So that's a 2008 It still looks like a 99 model It would have been cheaper just to buy a 99 and paint Gray

Yama Mama Posted July 12, 2008 #19 Posted July 12, 2008 (edited) Brad and Lonna, I am so happy you got your new bike. It really is pretty. I will of course forget the color comparison thing about the 99 color. :crying: I know you did not mean it. (You didn't mean it did you?) Ride safe, and include a bunch of photos. Peggy:clap2: Edited July 12, 2008 by Yama Mama
Sleeperhawk Posted July 12, 2008 #20 Posted July 12, 2008 CopyCAT, just because I bought one and you saw it at Freebird's MD, you just started drooling
Guest JGorom Posted July 12, 2008 #21 Posted July 12, 2008 Congratulations to both Squidley and Lonna...I've got a feeling that you both have earned a little luxury for your lives. May you ride safe always and laugh a lot!
Gary N. Posted July 12, 2008 #22 Posted July 12, 2008 Glad you ended up with that trunk rack. It was a great prize and I thank who ever donated it. I was thinking of you when I offered to auction it off. I couldn't figure out how to put two of them on my bike. Now, when are we going to swap out that ugly chrome front end? Just say the word and I'll be there.
Squidley Posted July 12, 2008 #23 Posted July 12, 2008 Thanks for the comments folks, it is a bit naked and I will be working on that in the coming weeks and months. I do love it, when I went to Toledo to pick it up, it was just like an old comfortable shoe, like I never was without one. George, perhaps your right buddy, I was really liking it down a Maintenance day and I had missed a couple of the '02's that I was looking for and said to heck with it and pulled the trigger. More than I wanted to spend at this time, but the '86 wasn't where I wanted it to be as far as reliability and its time to ride....not fix. Gary......your never going to give up on the dream of getting those front forks are you I'll put pics up as I Chromitize it and ride the crap out of it.....more to come
1BigDog Posted July 12, 2008 #24 Posted July 12, 2008 Very nice Squid.....sure hope (ok I know) you and Lonna are gonna enjoy riding it. You know something? I bet that thing will glisten riding along A1A.....
Yammer Dan Posted July 12, 2008 #25 Posted July 12, 2008 George, perhaps your right buddy, I was really liking it down a Maintenance day and I had missed a couple of the '02's that I was looking for and said to heck with it and pulled the trigger. More than I wanted to spend at this time, but the '86 wasn't where I wanted it to be as far as reliability and its time to ride....not fix. Now we get to see them comparing chrome everytime we get togather:stirthepot: And it is time to ride not fix. Thats why I'm looking at that 1st Gen going off in a couple hrs. And within riding distance.
