5bikes Posted July 8, 2008 #1 Posted July 8, 2008 I had a full feature Cruise Control on a previous BMW touring bike. I have a Throttle Rocker and Vista Throttle lock on my 84 Venture now. Has anyone adapted a speed variable cruise control to their bike? If so, what kind?
friesman Posted July 8, 2008 #2 Posted July 8, 2008 (edited) My 85 VR has variable cruise already on it and I thought every 1st gen VR 84 and up had it also? I am sure the gurus will be by to let you know whether I am right or wrong. Ahhh just had a thought , I know but I didnt hurt myself, lol. But , is your ride a Venture or Venture Royale? Only the Venture Royales had the cruise control, so you may be able to find one on ebuy for a venture royale and make it fit so it will look like oem. Brian:cool10: Edited July 9, 2008 by friesman
5bikes Posted July 9, 2008 Author #3 Posted July 9, 2008 No extras like cuise control, air compressor, etc. It was in such good shape, very low mileage I could not complain, and he came down to my price. I'm really good at adapting, just need an idea where to start. Never thought I'd miss Cruise Control until you don't have it.
hig4s Posted July 9, 2008 #4 Posted July 9, 2008 I know a couple that have installed this [ame=http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00029WQTW/ref=nosim/arm06-20]Amazon.com: Audiovox CCS100 Universal Vacuum Cruise Control: Automotive[/ame] on a couple of different types of bikes.
5bikes Posted July 9, 2008 Author #5 Posted July 9, 2008 There's a few on Ebay for a little less $. If anyone has any other ideas I'd appreciate it. Thanks to all.
