Don't think its fake. I have seen them like that a couple of times over the wetlands in between Stockton and the SF Bay when they are migrating. Normally farm land in the summer and then they flood it for the winter and it becomes wetlands. Its pretty amazing to watch.

You wouldn't want to live any where near where they roost either....if you want to sleep at all!

I have seen black birds flock like this around here as they are about to roost. Sorta looks like they were looking for a 'target', you know... maybe a 1st gen or something! :2143:
