The best of the west would be the EBC FA179HH for the front and the FA123HH for the rear. You can get them from Zanotti Motor or find them local.

If you find your rear Brakes sensitive or even too sensitive, you might better choose the standard, organic EBC Pads for the rear. The HH are sintered and may add too much Brake Power on the rear.

I got the HH+ pads on the rear with no issues. Just remember those rear pads need looking at and most likely changing by the 12k-13k mark.

As usual, a day late. i was kind a under the gun, so i went with the OEM Yamaha replacements for the rear.

The odd thing...at least what I thought to be odd was that the bike (Trigger) only has 18k miles and the original pads were just about to the metal. The replacement went easy enough, but i noticed that after my initial test ride and following a short one today, that the rear rotor is more than just a little warm, well it was very hot to the touch. So, if the rear brake is dragging a bit, that would explain the short pad life, but is this normal? The front rotors are ice cold follow the same ride...and if anything i tend to put more effort on the front brakes when stopping and slowing.

 

And...is there a break in process for new pads, and if so what is it? I tried telling the Mrs that it involved a long 200+ mile ride, but she didn't buy it. :(
