I'm not trying to stir the pot, but there are some using a car tire, Dunlop Sport5000, 195/60/16 tire, run at 32 or 34 lbs. of pressure. Just a suggestion.:Avatars_Gee_George:

OK....now I have to add the standard disclaimer to every car tire thread. :starz: Please save me the trouble and just read the sticky on the Darksiders forum. Otherwise, every tire thread will turn into a debate.

Does Avon not make either size, or just one of them? What's on the bike stock? I suppose Brickstones.

Did you check out the Avon website? My dealer told me they did not make Avons for the Venture. I printed out the info from the site and slapped it on his desk. Had the Avons two days later.

I just went through the same thing. He said they were a) discontinued, and B) never made for the correct sizes of 150/90 and 150/80. Avon Fitment Guide demonstrates otherwise. Jokers.

After a little research, the only brand I could find that makes a 170/70-16 is Bridgestone..

Venoms use to come in 180/70-16, you should still be able to find one of those, and the Avon AM-21 comes in 130/90-16 it should work fine with a Venom rear, if you can fit a 180

When I read the title I was going to suggest 5% seven dust for the ticks. I really don't know what to tell you on the tire situation maybe you should have bought a real bike like a venture.:stirthepot::rotf::rotf::rotf:
