Newport Kentucky American Celebration of Motorcycling.

Starting Thursday July 3rd, through Sunday July 6th, at Newport on the Levy, is the Newport Motorcycle Rally. This is right on the Ohio River shores across from Cincinnati, Ohio.

Ron and I go to this event every year. There are vendors, bands, food, and a lot of motorcycles.

Just a free advertisement for the Rally. We are going to be there everyday unless the storms are real bad.

There will be fireworks Thursday and Friday nights.

The rain is going to be spotty tonight, so we are going to head down to Newport for tonight fireworks at the Reds game.

We got to go to the rally around 7pm. Not many people because of the threat of rain. But we are not whimps, we went. The funny thing was the Japanese bikes outnumbered the HD's tonight, That never happens. We will be back tomorrow, weather is supposed to be better, and the weekend is going to be dry,

The weather actually looked worse tonight, but I said lets go. What the heck! By the time we got to Newport on the Levy, the sky looked a bit less threatening. Much to our surprise, there were a lot more people and bikes there tonight. Mainly, because of the fireworks we thought.

However there was a great band tonight so a lot of people stayed after the fireworks were over. The rest of the weekend is supposed to be better. So tomorrow, I will bring my camera and take some photos.

Sure wish we could have met you down there. We have company this weekend and are kind of stuck here at home. Still having a good time with an old friend and her 2 year old though. Also reaffirms that I DO NO want another 2 year old.

Saturday the weather was great for the rally. We got there around 5PM and ate while watching the parade of bikers come in.

We are going again today. We cannot stay away.
