TODAY I CALLED NEW MEMBER SPANKYM TO SEE HIS NEW BIKE AND ASK IF HE WANTED TO PUT A FEW MILES ON IT...TRYING TO HELP HIM QUICKER TO THAT FIRST 600 MILE CHECK UP..WELL,I KNEW CRAIG FROM THE SHERIFFS DEPT. BUT I NEVER RODE WITH HIM BEFORE..SCARRED THE B..ELL OUT OF ME THE WAY HE RIDES THAT THING...JUST KIDDING..JUST KIDDING...WE DECIDED TO GO TO ONE OF MY FAVORITE RESTAURANTS IN LEROY NY...HOME OF JELLO..AND THE FAMOUS JELLO MUSEUM..ANY WAY ,WE MET IN MY TOWN..STOPPED BACK AT MY HOUSE TO PICK UP THE SACK OF POTATOES... NOW YOU ALL KNOW WHY WE CALL MY WIFE ..TATERS...LOVE..TATERS.....SHE IS ALWAYS READY TO GO FOR A RIDE....HAD A BEAGLE LIKE THAT ONCE..NEVER MIND ABOUT THAT..ANY WAY RODE TO THE D AND R RESTAURANT IN LEROY..IF YOU VE NEVER BEEN THERE ..YOU MUST..RUN BY GRANNY NANCY..THE BEST...75 YEARS YOUNG AND LOVES THE BIKERS...WE SCARE THE REST OF THE BLUE HAIRS IN THE PLACE.. BUT THATS WHY SHE LOVES US..KINDA LIVENS THINGS UP..HAD A GREAT LUNCH AND INTERESTING CONVERSATION...FIGURED ON THE WAY BACK WE WOULD TAKE THE SOUTHERN ROUTE HOME AND STOP BY BONGO BOBS...SORRY BOB...WE NO SOONER STARTED BACK AND GOD DECIDED TO CHANGE OUR PLANS..THE SKY OPENED... AND I DO MEAN OPENED UP ON US...COULD NOT SEE WHERE TO GO AND NO SAFE REFUGES TO STOP AT....BOY THAT WAS FFFUNNN...NOT...ANY WAY TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT..WE MADE IT BACK TO MY PLACE WHERE SPANPYM WAITED OUT THE STORM..AND LEFT FOR HOME..BUT NOT BEFORE WE DECIDED WHAT SAFETY CHROME HE NEEDED ON THAT NEW VENTURE...SPANKY TOLD ME HE GOT THAT NEW BIKE FOR 12,900.00..WHAT A DEAL...WHAT A DEAL....HMM..WONDER WHAT ID GET FOR MY 05 ON A TRADE..OH TATERS...... WANNA TAKE A RIDE ? ...... :whistling:

Tom don't forget to give me a call about doin that cartoon for you and the wife. I'm trying to get to know more of the New York riders. Theres another Member here In Waterloo NY Jerry maybe we can ride down and also stop to see BongoBob and anyone eklse along the way.

Yesterday was definately not user friendly, was it?!!? We pretty much sat around and watched Science Fiction movies on sci fi and nibbled on whatever junk food we could find around the place. Today was a Doctor appointment and everything is coming along quite well, except they said something about having special shoes made up when it's time to return to normal. I'll be off work most likely until the end of August at least, so drop on by any time. And here I was hoping to start riding towards the end of July or early August.

 

That restaurant sounds like a great place to meet up with everyone some time. Besides the Waterloo guys, I just met a rider from Rochester from the other site to get together with sometime, so Leroy may be a great central place to meet.

 

Is Spankym's last name MacDermott?? If so that's the guy we ran into at Pioneer last week with the Black Cherry RSV. Hey, they have that Blue and Black RSV reduced pretty low now, very tempting but I still like Goldie...
