FROG MAN Posted June 29, 2008 #1 Posted June 29, 2008 Asheville is almost here and I got work to do. The voyager kit is coming off the 99 this week. I'm putting the RSV on the lift for a little maintenance. I might as well remove the tank, fenders, etc for a paint job while it's down. I got scarlet (89) in storage at Skids for a while. Wonder what the storage fee will be?I need the room in the shed for the work on the 99. If this plan comes together you will see it in Asheville. It depends on how much pink it turns out to be. I ordered some new electrical test gear today for my tool kit. You never know when you might see a 05 wing smoking beside the road.Is that the sound of a venture firing up in Ivadale?
mini-muffin Posted June 29, 2008 #2 Posted June 29, 2008 Ah sounds like there's gonna be pink on that bike. Nice compromise there Gerald, Looking forward to seeing the bike all painted. Margaret
Yammer Dan Posted June 29, 2008 #3 Posted June 29, 2008 If necesssary Lil' Red could make Ashville. Did 300 miles on her yesterday. She ain't scared of them Big Bad Ventures!!
FROG MAN Posted June 29, 2008 Author #4 Posted June 29, 2008 Your right Dan. Asheville is only 300 miles. I think you will have a venture running by then. If not Lil Red is good to go. Take a short ride daily to build your confidence and you'll be ready for that V4. Tune it right and Brown Sugar will be in the rear view. I might tune up the Baron a little.
Skid Posted June 29, 2008 #5 Posted June 29, 2008 Lets Go! I got my reservations made this morning. I got a little Kabin in the shade. Looks like we'll be in the Kampground too. It was good to see Yammer back on the saddle again. As for fee, I will have to double what it was the last time because of the extra cost of fuel.....(zero doubled is still zero)
FROG MAN Posted June 29, 2008 Author #6 Posted June 29, 2008 Mini here is the deal. If I buy the paint (An early birthday present) she should show mercy on the color(Blue and White). Can a woman get there game together in a month? If not you will see the 89 in Asheville.
mini-muffin Posted June 29, 2008 #7 Posted June 29, 2008 Well I would imagine the mere thought of being able to put some pink on the bike even if it's pin stripping will motivate her to get it done. Either way I'm looking forward to see you guys. Margaret
lonestarmedic Posted June 29, 2008 #8 Posted June 29, 2008 I saw a car the other day painted in charcoal metallic with blue and grey pinstriping. It looked nice. Consider the two-tone blue and white and put on a dusty rose colored pinstripe motif. I should imagine a dark blue would work. Also dark blue metallic and a pearl white with a rose overtone. JB
Yammer Dan Posted July 1, 2008 #9 Posted July 1, 2008 WV State Trooper Blue with a Gold Metal Flake. Gonna see it...
