davepa Posted June 29, 2008 Author #26 Posted June 29, 2008 Dave, I just checked my e-mails and was shocked to hear that you went down yesterday! I didn't make it to the skid-in this weekend, I have the brakes off of my 87' and the fuse box out. I will take a vacation day on Monday and come over and we can take a look and make a list. I was so glad you weren't injured very badly. Don't worry my friend, we'll get the old 87' up and running again. I hope you were wearing your helmet!? You are usually so good about that! With all that silly plastic fairing and side covers we should be able to get to that exhaust collector pretty easy now! I'll send you a PM to work out the details for Monday. Hang in there Buddy, Earl and Jean No need for you to take time off from work. I called in and took today off, if this will not conflict with plans Jean and you have made we can get together some time today. I always wear my helmet and other safefy gear even though it is not the cool thing to do or at times comfortable. Having seen some of the injuries from crashes from fellow workers and friends it makes it alot easier for me to take a few minutes to put on the leather. And from my earlier dirt bike days road rash...SUCKS! I also sent you a PM ...talk with you later
bongobobny Posted June 29, 2008 #27 Posted June 29, 2008 Dave, I also have a pretty good assortment of spare 1st gen parts, but sorry, no upper fairings. I do have the lowers, though, and inners, etc as well as metal frames, etc if you need anything.

PBJ Posted June 30, 2008 #29 Posted June 30, 2008 Let me add my concerns to everyone else's here Dave. Luckingly there are several guys on here with parts bikes available. But what a scary experience gettin beaned off the road by a fellow rider no less. OUCH!
