I Love MY New Tires

Hello Riders,

 

I read about Avon Vemon tires on this site and when my original reat tire needed to be replaced after my trip to NY from AZ pulling my Time Out Camper, I bought a set and had them installed on my 07 RSV.

 

I bought them from Bike Bandit and paid about $284.00 Delivered to my door in three days. The service and the assistance from their telephone sales department was excellent.

 

The real news is the way the tires make the bike respond. The "top heavy" feeling at low speed is non-existent and at speed the tires handle more like a sport bike. There is no road noise whatsoever from this set of tires. I have just about got 100 miles on them for the break-in but the difference is absolutely nite and day over the Dunlops that were original equipment.

 

I don't know about wear of course, but if it is not a good as the Dunlops (I got about 16,000 miles), I will take the lesser miles as opposed to the handling.

 

I am sure that there are other tires out there, but your reccommendation on the Venoms sure have made my day. Thanks to Venture.org for the great information and making my Venture even better to ride than it was before!

Glad you like them. I do too they really made a difference in the way the bike handles and feels. I really like the way the bike handles on the roads that are under construction.

They peal the top layer off and have all those squiggly lines and hash marks. My old tires would follow the grooves something terrible.

The tires are great on the metal bridges also. These AVONS ride fantastic.........Ron

I have been in a quandary about which set of tires to choose for my 98 RSTC and have been following all of the posts about tires for the past month. I guess the main problem was that Venom didn't have WWW in the size I wanted since I like the fat tire on the front. Good tip about BikeBandit too at that price.

 

So, I guess I'll be the Black on black in black riding black, wearing my black vest with 4 reflective stripes (funny, I couldn't find those in black) and wearing a wooden cross

(Now I think I know why cages never see me in spite of the loud pipes - must be trying to get away from the Grim Reaper ).

 

Thanks for your input which was a real help to me and thanks to all the members who talked so openly about this which could have turned into a subjective rather than objective issue.

I Only Got 9k Out Of The Dunlop's My Avon Now Have 11k On Them And Still Look Good. Only Tire I Will Buy Again!
