What are floorboard feelers?

Dont really know, but are they like curb feelers on the old cars? I let the toe of my boot hang off the boards it hits the pavement rite before the boards do, they are my "feelers" craig

I believe that they are little posts that stick about an inch or so off the bottom of the boards. I've seen them, just don't know where or what bike they were on.

I believe they are the sacrificial edging on foot boards. So when you scrape up your foot boards, you can just replace the feelers, not the whole boards.

Pull up on the boards on a RSV and you'll see them. They are the steel part on the bottom on the aluminum board along the outside. They make good sparks.

I had them on my Nomad and the RSV has something like it. On the Nomad it was just a bolt with an acorn nut on it. When you dragged the floorboards in a turn, it would grind down the nut and not the bottom of the floorboards. You just had to replace the nut every once in a while. The RSV has a plate on the bottom back/outside side of the floor board. Almost like heel taps for shoes, that grinds when leaning it way over in a turn.

That's what I thought. I couldn't find any pics of them on the net. I kept seeing it advertised on the V-Star. Maybe something like that would keep the road rash off my exhaust?
