Ferrantelli Posted June 21, 2008 #1 Posted June 21, 2008 I want to purchased brake pads front and rear to keep in stock for my 06 Venture. Any favorite brand and type? Any good or bad experience? Not looking for the cheapest nor for GP types, just a good set.
mini-muffin Posted June 21, 2008 #2 Posted June 21, 2008 EBC HH brakes is what we use. I know a few of the other guys do too. Seem to last longer then the others we've used. Margaret

star4772 Posted June 21, 2008 #5 Posted June 21, 2008 EBC HH great put on 2 weeks ago and WOW what a differance, there is no other. Joe
Squeeze Posted June 21, 2008 #8 Posted June 21, 2008 EBC HH Pads are the best Combination in dry Performance, Wear of the Rotors, Wet braking and Price for the front of any Yammi Bike. Now, if you feel your rear Brake sensitive and a bit overpowered, you'd better stay away from the EBC HH Pads on the rear. If so, choose EBC standard, organic Pads instead.

Freebird Posted June 21, 2008 #10 Posted June 21, 2008 I recommend the EBC HH pads also. Last time I needed pads, the local Honda shop was out of the size for the RSV. Ended up going to the Yamaha shop and all they sell is Ferrado so that's what I've got now. They are OK but seem harder and noiser than the EBCs.
VTirelli Posted June 21, 2008 #11 Posted June 21, 2008 Hmmmmmmmmm...........looks like I MIGHT have a project for next year's MD after all. I don't mind playing with most things but I really don't trust myself with brakes.

I did front and rear on Joe's (Star 4772) in about 25 minutes, it's really very easy.

Actually, I like what Squeeze said. HH on the front. Standard on the rear.
Ferrantelli Posted June 22, 2008 Author #14 Posted June 22, 2008 Thanks everyone. I think I will go with EBC.
