Skid Posted June 19, 2008 #1 Posted June 19, 2008 Ok I know someone here should have a idea to where I can get a good deal on a new helmut. I was thinking about a new AC-3. My wife is needing a larger helmut. So should I let her have my large and go buy me a new helmut, or just buy her a new one now? Also feel free to offer other brands and where to find one...... I'm open minded.
BEER30 Posted June 19, 2008 #2 Posted June 19, 2008 Skid , take a look at the Scorpion EXO-200 . I have the EXO-100 and love it . Showed it to at least a dozen or more friends and they went out and bought one . I wonder if I should get a commission ? :cool10: BEER30
Dano Posted June 19, 2008 #3 Posted June 19, 2008 The Navigator and I picked up new Scorpion EXO 200's. Love 'em to death. Quick change shields, comes with a visor and a clear shield. Around 150.00. Snell and DOT rated, which is why I bought it. Oh, liner is removeable and washable, pockets already for headsets, just a good overall brain bucket. Dan

davepa Posted June 20, 2008 #9 Posted June 20, 2008 How does the scorpion and the HJC line compare as far as fit. Is the sizing the same?
RedRider Posted June 20, 2008 #10 Posted June 20, 2008 Skid, Every helmet seems to fit differently. I'm not sure where in WV you are, but if you can get to Columbus, OH, hit the Iron Pony (www.ironpony.com). They have a huge selection of helmets from cheap to expensive and most of the popular brands. It would give you and/or your wife an opportunity to try them on before dropping cash on something that will be used for several years. They are on the east side of Columbus and pretty easy to get to. Prices are reasonable and selection is the best I have ever seen. Ride Safely. RR

az1103 Posted June 21, 2008 #12 Posted June 21, 2008 Every Helmut I ever new was German. But if helmets is what you are looking for I believe HJC is a good value.
