I am Experiencing Site Slowdowns and Lock-ups

I just disabled those banners. We'll see if that was the problem.

 

 

 

Don, i'm getting much much better Response Times now. Way faster than 10 Minutes ago.

Me too, I've been having more frequent slow downs and lock ups .

Tonight it took me about 45 minutes to get on the site good before it would work. At one point I got a memory error message.

Well..so far...it looks like the banners may have been causing the problems. I hope so, that is easy to fix.

Not one instance of error messages since you turned the banners off.

 

I'm not understanding that, but, hey me not understanding is not new (according to my wife).

Maybe the random cycling of the banners is causing it. Can you set them to change every 24 hours instead of every other visit the to the page.

They were cycling every few minutes through a set of I think it was four banners. The errors messages would come up between a couple of them.

I had alot of small problems earlier but since Freebird turned the banners off,all is A-OK!

OK...I'm still experimenting. I've turned the banners back on but turned off the auto refresh. They will now change only when the page is refreshed. Let me know thinks work OK or if you start having problems again.

So far, things still seem OK. I'm thinking that it was the banner auto refresh script that was causing the problem. I hope that's all it was. Time will tell.
