Carbon_One Posted April 14, 2007 #51 Posted April 14, 2007 Chaos I really don't know. I looked at and played with a unit at Circuit City before deciding to go with this model. As far as I know it has the same features as the C310 minus the mp3. It does have the removable chip on the top right side. I should get it sometime in the first of the week. Larry
Carbon_One Posted April 28, 2007 #52 Posted April 28, 2007 Ok time to give a report on the c220 I bought. First I'm quite impressed with this unit for the price it cost. Got mine off e-bay for around $200. It's basicly the same unit as the c310 Chaos has with the exception of not having a mp3. It uses a externally inserted chip as opposed to the c310's internal one, and the units case color. I think that's it. It does have a couple drawbacks. One is it's hard to see the map on the screen in bright sunlight. In a car would be no problem thou. Also having a small screen makes it next to impossible to use with gloves on, especially gauntlet types. Both models aren't waterproof either so if it goes to raining you better put in a dry spot. All in all it does what I wanted out of a gps for the amount of money I was willing to spend. Larry

Glad to hear you like the unit. I looked at the C220 last week while I was picking up something else and really liked the looks of the unit. It is definitely the way to go if you aren't interested in the MP3 functionally. I have my C310X updated with the latest maps now, and I am also running TomTom 6 on the same unit. The I-GO software and Tele Atlas maps beet the TomTom interface hands down IMHO.
