Dragonslayer Posted June 13, 2008 #1 Posted June 13, 2008 I need one with brass washers for anti dive valve on 82 XVZ1200. Does anybody have one they would be willing to sell or trade.
Tartan Terror Posted June 13, 2008 #2 Posted June 13, 2008 You do need the brass washers. The are crush washers and that is basically the gaskets.
Venturous Randy Posted June 13, 2008 #3 Posted June 13, 2008 I suspect about any motorcycle shop would have some in stock. You just need the diameter. Do you mean to keep refering to an 82 model, because 83 is the first year? Randy A
Dano Posted June 13, 2008 #4 Posted June 13, 2008 Dragon, ya gotta keep better track of them there parts when you take 'em off! Using the sunroom again, aren't ya! Dan

Do you mean to keep refering to an 82 model, because 83 is the first year? Randy A You know I thought so but the owner of the bike keeps correcting me telling me it was an 82. I figured he had the title and registration for it so I didn't argue the point.
Dragonslayer Posted June 13, 2008 Author #6 Posted June 13, 2008 (edited) Dragon, ya gotta keep better track of them there parts when you take 'em off! Using the sunroom again, aren't ya! Dan Nope, not me this time. The anti dive valve came to in pieces with the rest of the bike. The previous mechanic that screwed it up lost the bolt. Unfortunately, I can't put it back together without it. And alias, I'm afraid that the sun room is now hopelessly committed to the renovation of Venture Royales, Mine, Matt's (User ID Mattcharva) and now a third one I bought off e-bay the other night I plan on redoing for my son. I have now erected an annex to the sunroom where the mechanical work happens. Edited June 13, 2008 by Dragonslayer correction

Condor Posted June 14, 2008 #9 Posted June 14, 2008 Last time I checked you can still buy the washers from Yamaha. They're not cheap... 'bout $3.50, but they usually have them in stock...
