Jerry W Posted June 13, 2008 #3 Posted June 13, 2008 I will look and see what brand mine is, you need to make sure the locking pin will fit the hole in your brake disc. Most of the locks will not fit the hole in the Yamaha. Seems to me that the hole is a 6mm.

I think Xena disc lock may work I will go down to the local distributor tomorrow and see if they have the 6MM pin model
Kregerdoodle Posted June 13, 2008 #5 Posted June 13, 2008 sounds good for short term use, but 4 guys and 2 pipes can lift the bike and put it on a trailer........... Just a thought...
pegscraper Posted June 13, 2008 #6 Posted June 13, 2008 ...and two kids can throw the thing up on two skateboards and roll it away. A disk lock may be a bit of a deterrent for some, but nothing is foolproof.
Bummer Posted June 13, 2008 #7 Posted June 13, 2008 sounds good for short term use, but 4 guys and 2 pipes can lift the bike and put it on a trailer........... Just a thought...I don't know if it's that I'm getting not young or what, but my back hurts just reading that.
Snaggletooth Posted June 13, 2008 #8 Posted June 13, 2008 I use a "Bulldog" on mine. If they want it bad enough they are going to have to drag it or carry it and then the security surveillance tapes are getting sent to Americas Funniest Vidieos. It would be a hoot to watch a couple of boneheads trying to drag one of these things off.
Jerry W Posted June 14, 2008 #9 Posted June 14, 2008 My disc lock is a Tour Master, back up is a Ruger.
sleadhed Posted June 14, 2008 Author #10 Posted June 14, 2008 My disc lock is a Tour Master, back up is a Ruger. springfield XD here.
sleadhed Posted June 14, 2008 Author #11 Posted June 14, 2008 after weighing all the replies. I have decided to use a good master lock on the steering lock. If someone wants my bike that bad, no lock is going to stop them. That's why I pay that extra 30 bucks a year to progressive. it covers full replacement for the first three years
