Charles Edenfield Posted Friday at 06:21 PM #1 Posted Friday at 06:21 PM What is the general consensus on using a LI battery as a replacement on a 2008 RSV? Thanks

Thanks I dont know much about Lithium automotive batteries, but I assume they're like a Gel battery in the sense that they can be tipped on their side. I would also imagine a Lithium battery could probably take more abuse than a Gel battery. Is there one you've found online that you could post a link of? I'm curious about it.
Charles Edenfield Posted Friday at 09:27 PM Author #3 Posted Friday at 09:27 PM Hi, if you go to any of the online vendors- Amazon, Cycle Gear etc. you’ll find LI batteries for virtually any application. I used one in a recently sold bike with good results. My query is if anyone has a different experience with the larger bikes ie the RSV. Thx

BratmanXj Posted 11 hours ago #5 Posted 11 hours ago I'm not sure if you're "gaining anything" on an RSV with a LI battery. The cyclist I've know to use them were for custom builds where they needed small (& light) packaging without a spill aspect to hide the battery. They were more expensive and required a specialty charger to use. There's nothing light weight or needing a small space in an RSV that would need that specialty. 2
