johnny-canuck Posted June 12, 2008 #1 Posted June 12, 2008 I just installed a Sirius radio on my Venture. Works great but I am getting engine feedback/noise. My riding buddy has XM on a Shadow and has the same problem. Mine is connected via the socket on the fairing, soon to be hard wired. The Shadow is hardwired with a filter. Anyone have this problem? Is there a way to get rid of it? If I go fast enough I don't notice it as much Thanks, John
Mariner Fan Posted June 12, 2008 #2 Posted June 12, 2008 I wish I had an answer for you. I don't have this problem at all. Seems weird that your friend still has the trouble even with and filter.
RoadKill Posted June 12, 2008 #3 Posted June 12, 2008 I have mine powered with an outlet and no static. What kind of Aux cable are you using? Also, sometimes if it isn't connecting well at the unit with the Antenna and Aux it can do that.
Guest ReinyRooster Posted June 13, 2008 #4 Posted June 13, 2008 I have my Sirius hardwired in using the entire power plug that comes with the unit and I have no problems.
DragonRider Posted June 13, 2008 #5 Posted June 13, 2008 Mine is plugged into the cig. lighter and not static, clear as a bell.
az1103 Posted June 13, 2008 #6 Posted June 13, 2008 No problem with my XM but if I were you I would check how you placed the antena and the wire going to it.

johnny-canuck Posted June 14, 2008 Author #8 Posted June 14, 2008 Thanks all, I haven't had time to play with it as I've been straight out since I installed it. I am using the aux plug on the stereo and that I believe is the culprit. Even with the sat radio turned off I get noise.
