I just installed a Sirius radio on my Venture. Works great but I am getting engine feedback/noise. My riding buddy has XM on a Shadow and has the same problem.

Mine is connected via the socket on the fairing, soon to be hard wired. The Shadow is hardwired with a filter.

Anyone have this problem? Is there a way to get rid of it?

If I go fast enough I don't notice it as much :322:

Thanks,

John

I have mine powered with an outlet and no static. What kind of Aux cable are you using? Also, sometimes if it isn't connecting well at the unit with the Antenna and Aux it can do that.

I have my Sirius hardwired in using the entire power plug that comes with the unit and I have no problems.

you may need a ground loop to eliminate the engine noise. try cycle gadgets.com.:)

Thanks all,

I haven't had time to play with it as I've been straight out since I installed it. I am using the aux plug on the stereo and that I believe is the culprit. Even with the sat radio turned off I get noise.
