MongoE9 Posted September 13 Share #1 Posted September 13 I was tired of the wingnuts vibrating off that I was using to hold my seat in place on my 09 midnight venture. So like a jackass I decided to put some lock tight on it. Yes I used the red instead of the blue. Now both wings have broken off and the head is stripping even with vice grips. I know heat is supposed to loosen the red, but that is so tight there I am afraid I will burn my seat. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. vzuden Posted September 14 Share #2 Posted September 14 Can you reach them with a Dremel? Maybe cut a slot into the side? I use plastic wing nuts - non metric.
