sleepy2 Posted October 27 #76 Posted October 27 @N3FOL couldn't get son's wheel bearing done as hub would NOT come out no matter what we tried! Guess he asked a fellow worker who has neighbor mechanic to see if he would do it. Otherwise he is looking around for someone in town. Still have to get back working on tractor as fuel tank is NOT leaking anymore so another thing fixed! Changed bike blinker bulb finally and it is the right bulb finally! Got around to also make wife happy and got Halloween decorations up! 1
Marcarl Posted October 28 #77 Posted October 28 I have a special tool to do wheel bearing hubs. 2 wack and they're off. 1

There has to be a special tool to remove the wheel bearing. If I am not mistaken, some auto parts store will let you rent/borrow special tools as long as you purchase the part from them.

sleepy2 Posted October 29 #82 Posted October 29 @Marcarlsaw your reply about a tool to remove wheel hubs. Would it happen to be a slide hammer tool with adapter that bolts onto hub? Would it be possible to borrow it when I come down on Saturday If you could check to see if the gap is able to fit on a 4 1/4(5x114.3mm)
N3FOL Posted October 30 Author #83 Posted October 30 Good evening to all. Hoping you already have bought your chocolates for the trick or treaters on Thursday.

N3FOL Posted November 1 Author #85 Posted November 1 Good morning to all! We had a blast with my youngest Trick or Treating last night and garnered two buckets full of candies. My wife is already talking about X-Mas decorations already. I said let's wait after Thanksgiving. Hope the boss will accept my proposition. Enjoy your day.

sleepy2 Posted November 3 #87 Posted November 3 @N3FOL@N3FOLN3FOL did phone around to all places I could think of that sell and lend tools and alot do not rent anymore and ones that did didn't have both parts needed. Canadian Tire had slide hammer but had no adapter to rent (had to buy and no return) didn't fit hub so had to return. 1

My work schedule for December is looking very busy, so I hope to survive this one. At least the weather continue to be just right for riding and that is one thing that keeps me in good spirits.

sleepy2 Posted November 10 #95 Posted November 10 Rode to @Marcarls yesterday to take back the tools I borrowed to try and fix my son's car! Got hub part way out but kept catching on drive axle and son was afraid that we wouldn't be able to get back in properly so he decided that he is going to take to mechanic to replace! Myself I would have just kept going but what you going to do! At least everything should come out easily for who ever does it! It was 4deg cel when I left but seemed a lot warmer! Good thing for leather chips!! Was another good visit with @Marcarl !Was first time I went there and didn't go to Princes Auto! Basically had time limit of having to be home by 4. 1

sleepy2 Posted November 10 #97 Posted November 10 First thing @Marcarlaasked was "where's your buddy Ben?" Said probably home! What I'm messaging for is you said you had a bike stand. Is yours from Princess Auto? If yes and looks like my pictures What holes and position do you have yours set?
N3FOL Posted Monday at 11:44 PM Author #99 Posted Monday at 11:44 PM That bike stand appears to be very good quality. Nice!

If that was me also...I will keep on going until I succeed. At the same time going back and forth to the car make and model forum and ask around. Someone in that forum may be able to assist online. Best of luck on the repair.
