I have visited here a few times, because I was having an issue with my side stand, and how far my RSV was leaning. I was happy to see, and read, some good advice and directions on what to check. Ended up spending the money and replaced the side stand and nut/bolt/collar. I can not tell you how much better it is now!! No more center stand overuse for me! At 62 and a whopping 165lbs, pulling my bike up from a hard lean was quite the challenge. I had almost concluded that I needed a lighter bike, but hated the idea of letting her go. Much better now!

I find it easier turning the front wheel to the right before trying to get it off the side stand.

I was having to turn it pretty quick to the right and wrestle it up at the same time to get it up. I found a discussion on here where someone else had a problem with their bike leaning. Somebody said to measure from the center of the choke knob to the floor and it should be 24 inches. Mine was 21 1/2 inches. Now it’s dead on 24 and it’s almost effortless to stand it up. Like someone shaved 500 lbs off my bike. Loving it 😎

Had to get our main man help me with the picture uploads. Wondering if he ever sleeps…

I was looking at the Goldwings, and I know some of us have them, but I couldn’t get over the fairing not turning with the front wheel. I love the fact that the RSV does, so I’m enjoying the “Silverwing”.
