wolfmanjj Posted June 11, 2008 #1 Posted June 11, 2008 Dummy me broke my CB antennae while removing my bike cover off my 2002 Venture...the Dealer wanted $180.00 to replace the OEM antennae plus labor. A friend told me I should swap out the OEM antennaes for an upgraded version. He suggested I use semi truck antennaes. He said he knew someone had done it before but he did not know how. While at a big truck stop, I spoke to a CB shop and they needed a ton of information about the bikes antennae, CB and radio before he would work on it. Of course, I knew none of the info he needed and nothing was in the owners manual. So, is there anyone out there that knows how to do this or has this information and can help me out? I would need to know which antennaes to purchase, any info about the process and who I can take it to, to have the work compelted. I would like to take it to my dealer but am open to whatever makes the most sense. Thanks in advance for any help...
