Guest tx2sturgis Posted June 10, 2008 #2 Posted June 10, 2008 Seems like that wire coming out of your mouth would be distracting...not to mention the GAG reflex!
BoomerCPO Posted June 10, 2008 #3 Posted June 10, 2008 I'm wondering if you can still chew tobacky with one of them fancy rigs duct taped in place.......
KiteSquid Posted June 10, 2008 Author #4 Posted June 10, 2008 :sign20:Funny, however this is what I was refering to.... [quote name="From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia "]Throat microphone A throat microphone, also laryngophone is a type of microphone that picks up sound directly through sensors in contact with the neck. Because of this design, it is able to pick up speech in loud environments such as on a motorcycle or in a night club where other types of microphones would not function well because the speech would be drowned out by background noise. This type of microphone is also able to pick up whispers and works well in an environment where one has to keep quiet while communicating with others at a distance such as during a covert military operation. Throat microphones were also extensively used in World War II-era aircraft.

KiteSquid Posted June 18, 2008 Author #8 Posted June 18, 2008 I have not yet purchased... I was hoping that someone else had beat me to the punch!!!!! BTW I found THIS site, the mic looks familiar and it looks like it has the right plug on it, but the price is MUCH higher....
lonestarmedic Posted June 19, 2008 #9 Posted June 19, 2008 From 1998 onward the plugs are different than our 5 pin units. Can't remember if 1998 is 5 or 7 pin but I believe I am correct. Anyway id they fit the 2000 and up they are the newer pin system JB
Freebird Posted June 19, 2008 #10 Posted June 19, 2008 I don't know about that. Not sure when there was a change but I know that my '88 used the same 5 pin as does my '99 and they are the same through current models.

az1103 Posted June 19, 2008 #12 Posted June 19, 2008 Looks perfect for helmetless knuckleheads on Harleys should blend nicely with tatoos!
