skydoc_17 Posted April 2 #26 Posted April 2 The Skydoc and company have booked the last room at the Feather and Fin. Here's hoping that we will get to see a few old friends... and hopefully meet some NEW ones! I hope to see everyone there! Earl. 1
RDawson Posted April 2 Author #27 Posted April 2 The Early American motel is next door to Fin and Feather for anyone still looking. All the links I posted earlier are very close by.

I'll be retiring in 4 years and moving closer up towards the cabin and will try to get it done then. Great area for riding, but the cabin and property won't allow for a bigger event. If you build it we will come!!! 2
RDawson Posted April 3 Author #29 Posted April 3 My phone number is in my profile for anyone who needs to contact me. If the number you call from isn’t in my contact list it will send you straight to voicemail. Either leave a message or shoot me a text so I can add you to my contacts.
uncledj Posted April 16 #30 Posted April 16 Looking at where gas prices are headed, I may try to get a room rather than drive the motorhome. Will noodle on it.
etcswjoe Posted May 1 #31 Posted May 1 What else is there to do in the area besides, ride, boat, fish and camp. I have to be in a wedding on June 15th in Missouri and don't want to go home in between.

Bourbon trail is further east of us. National quilt museum in Paducah if you want to learn how to sew. Southern Missouri/North Arkansas has some mountains and riding I hear, we haven’t made it over there yet. Bass Pro Memphis Pyramid if you’re into that. If you’re into fishing hang around a day or two, the new boat should be here by then. Room for 3 or people to fish in it. St Louis is about 4 hrs away if you like baseball. 1
Marcarl Posted May 2 #33 Posted May 2 We had our discussion and made our decision. WKY is not on our radar this year. Too many issues to deal with,,, sure going to miss all you 'all though. 1

Sorry to hear that, Im really looking forward to seeing everyone again that we haven’t seen since Covid interrupted our get togethers. I have been talking to another long time member from up north about the possibility of having a get together up there next summer. Hopefully that can come to fruition and we’ll all have a chance to catch up. 1

etcswjoe Posted May 7 #37 Posted May 7 Leaving SC on the 4th and planning on stopping halfway which is around Chatanooga, where is the best place to stay and does anyone want to meet up in route?
uncledj Posted May 26 #38 Posted May 26 Decided not to drive the motorhome, but have reserved a room at the Early American Motel. Will be arriving Thursday afternoon and leaving Sunday morning. SO....When we get there and get settled in, how / where / when do we meet up with the group?

skydoc_17 Posted May 26 #42 Posted May 26 Well, The Old Skydoc is gonna' be there, I'm booked at the Pterodactyl Inn! Or is that the "Feather and Fin"! Oh Yea', that's it, Feather and Fin. I say we all pull up in Ronnie's front yard and yell, "What's for Breakfast"! If I remember correctly, Ronnie's wife just retired as an Elementary School Teacher!!! Surely, she can handle a group of "Troublesome Boys, on their noisy motorbikes"!!! If not, I have a spare bed in my hotel room for Ronnie! Looking forward to seeing everyone, Earl.

RDawson Posted May 26 Author #44 Posted May 26 If you pull up to my place you’ll be alone. We’re at the Finn n Feather too. My number is 270-293-2845. Early American is next door, just look for the coolest colored bike Yamaha ever made and you’ll find us. (07 blue/black). From what the weather man’s saying my place may not be here tomorrow anyway🤣🤣🤣. Storms rivaling the Mayfield tornado are forecast in the next few hours. We have no power and very little cell service already from this morning’s storms.
RDawson Posted May 27 Author #46 Posted May 27 (edited) We made it through the night with most of the damage staying north of us, I do have some chainsaw work to do though. We’ll ride the planned routes again soon as there will be some adjustments due to tornado and flood damage. Yesterday/last night was a humdinger. Couple of my friends didn’t get out as lucky. Red Ryder Posted June 1 #48 Posted June 1 Another year I will miss, Grandchildren not out of school until June 7th. Thought I had it set up but plans fell apart. You All have Fun, Later-
RDawson Posted June 1 Author #49 Posted June 1 Looks like the weatherman is cooperating with us pretty well. We’ll have to dodge some areas with last week’s storm damage. Wife n I went out yesterday and spent half a day clearing a road of storm debris so we can ride it. 4
etcswjoe Posted June 4 #50 Posted June 4 Well I tried, guess it was too much too soon, but only made it to Aiken SC before we had to call it quits, the folks at Fin and Feather were very understanding, guess I need to work back up to riding or I may be done. Hope everyone has fun, and we will be thinking of you all. 2
