Does anyone know what the trunk is made of. I’ve have cracks on the bottom where it bolts up. that I need to repair.

You can use Plastex to do the repair.

Hello folks.  Been a while since I've been on here.  Regarding fixing cracked plastics, I've used self adhesive fiberglass drywall joint tape and E6000 adhesive.  Put the tape over the crack and spread some E6000 over it and there's a pretty strong bond there and it's easy especially in places where you don't see the work.

Is also sold under the name Plastifix. Half my bike has been rebuilt with it. Use fibreglass dry wall tape, metal screen or fiberglass as reinforcing and it you have a solid repair. 16 years later and still A1.
