06 Cruise Control non functional

06 RSV cruise control won't engage, no lights when set switch pressed. Every time I try to select RSV area, then search, in only shows old ventures, never the RSV models. Replaced R hand switch, still, no lights, no CC engage. Any help appreciated.

If I remember correctly there are two switches one right below the cassette deck and one on the handle bar, do you have it turned on and if so which switch do you think is bad?

There is a troubleshooting procedure for the cruise control in the factory service manual. My '06 also has cruise control issues. It powers up and seems to take a setting but then will accelerate to full throttle. I haven't taken the time to run through the diagnostic procedure as I rarely used the CC on my '86, and it worked fine.
