YamaFan65 Posted October 13, 2023 Share #1 Posted October 13, 2023 Just picked up a 2009 Royal Star Tourer Deluxe and was wondering what tires work well with this model. Hate the Dunlop's on it. Feels like I’m always riding in a rut!

Doublehorse Rider Posted August 29 Share #4 Posted August 29 Since this post has about a year of time on it, I have to ask….. did you find a better tire? I have a ‘99 Royal Star with the Dunlops and there are times where I get like a floating sensation, or as you described riding in the ruts feel, mainly on the interstates or high speed bypasses. Been debating whether to try a different brand or not, or if it’s just me.
Du-Rron Posted August 29 Share #5 Posted August 29 @Doublehorse Rider, I'm still liking the Shinko's. I have not worn out my 777HD's yet to try the 999. But when I do that is what I will get.
Doublehorse Rider Posted August 30 Share #6 Posted August 30 Unfortunately I can’t use those on mine. I had already replaced my Dunlop D404 when I found this post, but I checked with Yamaha and it the Shinko doesn’t fit my rim. I’m going to try the Bridgestone G703 and 02 next though. Costs a little bit more, but I like the tread and reviews, so we’ll see.
