Pasta Burner Posted July 31, 2023 Share #1 Posted July 31, 2023 Hi All, I swear I've seen a topic of this, but I'm not getting any love searching. What's a good replacement for a first gen? I see the Clearview with the vent and that looks awesome to me but they don't have one for a first gen. any suggestions? I currently have one of those big tall and wide tinted screens, but the time has come that it's so weathered I can no longer safely see through it. cimmer Posted August 1, 2023 Share #2 Posted August 1, 2023 About the only that I know of left is the Slipstreamer replacement. https://slipstreamer.com/motorcycle/yamaha-venture-venture-royale-replacements/ I have the Clearview with the vent and it is a tall tinted gray one and really enjoy it but I did noticed that they are no longer producing that one. Not sure if you could call or email them about producing one for you but it might be worth a try. Good luck Rick F.

I thought for sure there was a vented option in the past. I have a buddy who might also be interested so maybe they’ll be more keen on doing more than one. Pasta Burner Posted August 14, 2023 Author Share #5 Posted August 14, 2023 I’ve been in contact with Clearview and no love. They were nice but just not going to help. Ordered a Slipstreamer 🤞
Pasta Burner Posted August 17, 2023 Author Share #6 Posted August 17, 2023 Anybody have experience tinting a windscreen? I spoke with a tint shop and they said they couldn’t do and advised I talk with a vinyl shop. Stopped by a vinyl place today that also tints and said they can’t do it on plastic as it won’t stick very long. Anyone try it? Any luck?

We have a place called PA Plastics that will fabricate any type of windshield you want in a variety of tints. You simply give them your old windshield and they will duplicate it, even include any modifications you would like such as shorter/taller or narrower/wider. If your windshield is broken just give them the pieces the will use them as a template to make the new one. https://paplastics.com/boat-windshields/windshields/products.html https://bikescreen.com/ interesting video Edited August 18, 2023 by saddlebum
