I so want to help out but that day just won't work for me. Carl and I have talked it over and we both want to do something to help out. We are planning on coming down to his place either the following Wednesday or the following Saturday. So if some stuff is not done or there is another list we would love to do those things. At the very least we will be able to visit with Bob and try to boost his spirits. Both Carl and I and our families will be praying for him and Becky as well. Had no idea he'd be having surgery so soon. Glad it's over and he's doing ok. I wish we could get up there to help this saturday. I'm not sure how long it would take to get to his place, but I'm sure everything would be done by that time. Good luck getting some folks together to help. He will need some company and there will more than likely be some other things you two might be able to handle...so spacing this out will be great for him and Becky. I would just let them know what date you decide so that they are home and not at the doctors or elsewhere. I know his bike is not together...pieces were everywhere in the garage...you two being 1st gen riders might ask if he would like you to come down and start putting it back together for him. Guest JGorom Posted June 13, 2008 Share #36 Posted June 13, 2008 I spoke to Robert and Becky last night, his healing continues and he thanks you all for your thoughts and prayers. Bob may be released from the hospital later this evening (Friday). On another note, I only received two others to help me this Saturday...my wife and Big Tom (another member here) who called me last night. Because it is supposed to rain all day Saturday we called Becky to see if we (Tom & I) could go down today to knock out what's left on the To Do list...that was a no go because she is working all day today and then going to the hospital to hopefully pick up Bob and bring him home later this evening. I know people get busy...but I have to say I'm a bit disapointed in not finding anyone else locally to volunteer to help other than my wife who went down with me last Sunday, and Big Tom who volunteered last night...well enough said. I know two of our Canadian brothers could not make it down this Saturday...so I guess I stand corrected here on the volunteers because we did have two who could not make it. My work schedule is crazy...it is all over the place with lots of weekends and evenings, but hopefully my wife and I and possibly Tom can get down there sometime next week to complete their list. BIG TOM Posted June 13, 2008 Share #41 Posted June 13, 2008 JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE (4:20) WITH BOB, HE SOUNDS GOOD AND IS LOOKING FOWARD TO GETTING HOME TONIGHT..STATES HE HAS HAD GREAT CARE WHILE AT THE HOSPITAL AND SAYS THE FOOT IS HEALING NICELY..MADE ARRANGEMENTS WITH BOB FOR A VISIT ON SUNDAY...HE STATES THAT SINCE HE CANNOT GET AROUND HE WOULD LIKE THE COMPANY.. I GUESS HE WILL BE POSTING ALOT OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS...IF YOUR IN THE AREA STOP BY AND SAY HELLO.. IM SURE HE WILL APPRECEATE THE COMPANY AS BONGO DEFINATELY IS A PEOPLE PERSON.... We certainly ARE one big caring family here! Hopefully I will be on 2 wheels by July for the rally but if not we will cage it up there anyway.
