newman Posted June 5, 2008 #1 Posted June 5, 2008 Here's a quick video of that new 3 wheeled bike that looks like a cross between an ATV and a SLED...it's pretty cool. I am sure we will see these dotting out hwy's very soon. http://www.ontario-motorcycle-rides.com/can-am.html
AKRefugee Posted June 5, 2008 #2 Posted June 5, 2008 Seen one of these last weekend on the interstate. Didn't get a good look because it was going the opposite direction. It was moving along at "quite a good pace" so just got a glimpse. Very distinct look and your eyes are definitely drawn to. Must be that bright yellow color.
Carbon_One Posted June 5, 2008 #3 Posted June 5, 2008 I've only seen one out so far and it was parked with some other rocket riders. A dealer near by is carring them as well. Don't know if they've any/many yet thou. Larry
Hugbare Posted June 6, 2008 #4 Posted June 6, 2008 We have one that lives here in Charleston .. Have seen it several times, but have not had the opportunity to catch up with it yet . .... Hope to, it is a pretty cool looking speedster ...
Little Bob Posted June 6, 2008 #5 Posted June 6, 2008 Have ridden one last fall and boy are they a blast. Need to steer them like a four wheeler. No leaning. Pretty quick the one thing you need to do is waer a full face helment as the wind off that short windsheild hits you right square in the face.:cool10::smile5:
flb_78 Posted June 6, 2008 #6 Posted June 6, 2008 They had demo rides here about a month ago. I didn't have time to ride one, but they are pretty fast.
bugfish69 Posted June 6, 2008 #7 Posted June 6, 2008 but still fun to ride. If you get a chance take a demo ride. If I had $15,000 in spare change, it would be fun, but I will not be trading my bike in for one.
Fladiver40 Posted June 6, 2008 #8 Posted June 6, 2008 I rode one a prototype last summer during am MSF trike safety course ! Boy after being on HD's all day what a blast very stable and fast. The Reps that where there were saying that if sales went well they were going to make a long distance touring type ie comfortable seat tour bags ect ... wont trade the Venture on one but my 20 year old daughter loved it (she took the course also and rode it for 3 days).. might just be the future never know ...but for an old guy like me i'll stick to my heavy venture:cool10:
