SaltyDawg Posted June 5, 2008 #1 Posted June 5, 2008 I am scheduled to go to Reston, Va for a week at the end of July. Question I have for you folks up that way is. Is there any good riding to be done up in that area? I'm sure there is, but it would be nice to know from those who live in the area, or those who have traveled it. It's been over 10 years since I have been in that area, back then it was some beautiful country, but A LOT of building going on. Thanks.
mini-muffin Posted June 5, 2008 #2 Posted June 5, 2008 Riderduke lives not too far from there. Might want to send him a PM and ask. You'll want to avoid DC, that place is nuts. Hope your having a good day. Stay cool. Margaret

You'll have to head west away from Reston toward Front Royal for the best riding. There are several options once you get away from the hustle of NoVa.
Riderduke Posted June 5, 2008 #4 Posted June 5, 2008 Yeah what Bigfoot said. Great riding once you get away from NoVa. Maybe we could meet up and do some riding. I'm about 1 hour away from Reston.
KiteSquid Posted June 5, 2008 #5 Posted June 5, 2008 Not the best riding, but go look at Great Falls. Nice views there.

spotsy Posted June 7, 2008 #10 Posted June 7, 2008 You can go here and they will send you a map. You can get a regular map and scenic map. Most of the roads on that map are great. Sperryville area has some good riding roads. Keep us informed. http://www.virginiadot.org/travel/maps-default.asp Spotsy
