This trip south is the main reason I won't be attending the rally in Ontario this year. My daughter starts training with her battalion in late June and then leaves for Afghanistan sometime in Oct., so this will be the last chance I get to see her before she ships out for almost a year. Keep a good thought for her safe return, eh?

Have a safe trip down. Enjoy your time together. Plus you can give her a big hug from the group. We'd do it ourselves but you didn't say exactly where she is. Anyway she'll be fine hope you hold up ok. she'll be added to our prayers here.

........for the well wishes for my youngest. Margaret - Right now she's a SeaBee in the Navy and is stationed in Gulfport, MS. Once her training starts she'll be all over the country for a couple months. She hasn't been assigned her duty station in Afghanistan yet or her job while she's there, but she says her "pre-combat training involves a lot of munitions and weapons, so she thinks they'll be blowing stuff up". She's definitely a chip off the old blockhead.

 

I don't gamble, so I won't see you at the craps table, but to you and TX is not on the agenda. If you knew me, you wouldn't invite me so easily.

Rick - I may see you in MN later this year. And good to hear from you, Steve - stop in anytime. Did you want to head up to MN with me on Labor Day for the Piggie in the Conifers rally?

Thanks for the offer, Eck & the Natchez Trace idea - we're looking forward to that on the ride home. I hope I won't have to take you up on the roadside assist, tho.
