Will this R1 front brake caliber fit my xvz 1200 from 84?

I read people using R1 and R6? calibers in their bikes.  What years and models would fit in the front? Would this in the pic bolt on?

I cant say if it will or not but do a search in this section and see if there is any threads on this type of setup. I for one, havent done this conversion as I just rebuilt my calipers and install steel braided brake lines on my 89 VR.
