Hi all I seem to have developed a high-speed wobble in my RSV. I have checked the steering head and it is fine. I find that it starts to wobble at about 75 MPH and if I try to go any faster it gets worse and it feels like it is the wheel bearings or the swing arm bearings. I have also checked the tires, they are three yrs old with about 3500 miles on them. Any thoughts from those who may know more than me?

I remember Cowpuc posting that he had that problem with a bike that was caused by the fluid in one front leg being lower than the other if I remember correctly.

Give those steering head bearings a little bit of tightening. You might not feel any looseness in them, but that doesn't mean they are tight enough. If you get them too tight the bike will want to go it's own way, even at slow speeds. Also make sure they are properly greased.

Carl the steering head bearings were my first thing I did. I haven't had a chance to check the rear yet.

Snug them up a wee bit and see what happens.
