tooldood Posted May 25, 2023 #1 Posted May 25, 2023 It has been about 2 and a half weeks since I opted to hit the ditch instead of the car that was stopped facing me. My bike is at a local repair shop as the nearest Yamaha dealer is 45 miles away. The mechanic there said that it is good except for a good front end wobble when you take your hands off the bars. With my shattered collarbone, I can't ride it to see just how bad it is, so... can the collective brain power suggest what it may be? I did hit the ditch pretty hard before it threw me off.

I am wondering if your front rim is slightly tweaked.

luvmy40 Posted May 25, 2023 #4 Posted May 25, 2023 When my son ditch his Maxim 750 at low speed, the fork tubes bent enough to cause misalignment. We just replaced the entire triple tree assembly for belt and suspenders insurance.
Marcarl Posted May 25, 2023 #5 Posted May 25, 2023 It could be as simple as having the steering head bearings a little to loose. Adjustments are made in 32nd inch increments. 1
Pasta Burner Posted May 25, 2023 #6 Posted May 25, 2023 First thought is thrown wheel weight, second bent rim.
fixit3546 Posted September 20, 2023 #7 Posted September 20, 2023 What was it? Bent wheel or bent fork.... just curious if it has been resolved yet. 1
