RDawson Posted May 23, 2023 #1 Posted May 23, 2023 I had my seat redone by Rick last summer, with my long legs and back issues it’s not working for me. I was thinking today of having it redone again back closer to original but thought if anyone wants it I’d swap for an original pillow top.

I love the pillow top, but it's just a little stretch for me to flat foot. What doe s the Buttler seat look like? Is it sill softer or is it hard like the Corbin? BTW, did you like that Corbin?
RDawson Posted May 23, 2023 Author #3 Posted May 23, 2023 In my best KY gobblety gook it’s both harder and softer. He removes some original foam, adds a layer of firmer foam and a top layer of memory foam. I’ve read tons of great reviews but it’s not for me. I took it off today to get good pictures, it does have more seam wear than I’d noticed, it is an 80,000 mile seat. To look at it you can’t see any difference after he’s done.
RDawson Posted May 25, 2023 Author #4 Posted May 25, 2023 Best I can tell the seams aren’t coming apart but the black top layer of vinyl separated in a couple spots.
ragtop69gs Posted May 28, 2023 #5 Posted May 28, 2023 Is the seating position lower than before rick did the mod? I have a stock pillowtop, it also is split at the seam in a few places. Since I'm vertically challenged a seat that sits lower would be welcome here. If Luvmy40 passes I'll send some pics of my seat if you're interested.
