1st gen centre stand on RSV

Well I know I ain't a young buck anymore and not as strong as I used to be but wow......mounted a 1st gen centre stand on my 09 RSV last summer and today went to put her up on that stand to do an oil change......I used to be able to on my 1st gens but I couldn't even come close to getting that pig up there today.  Had to get the young fella neighbour to assist.

Got the oil changed, now just need some time and decent weather to ride.

I've the same issue with the second gen.   I can still lift the first gen without too much trouble, but my second gen is a bear to get up on the center stand.

I can say much thing , i am turning 77 soon this year  , and no matter that when my mind tells I can still do this my body wins the fight ... I have a 83 Venture  1200  I thought that I my 5 foot 4 body could get it done , not so I am going to ride something smaller this year ..
