MONTVILLE, Conn. (AP) — Billy Walkabout, a native Cherokee whose actions in Vietnam made him among most decorated soldiers of the war, died March 7 in Connecticut.

He was 57.

Walkabout received the Distinguished Service Cross, Purple Heart, five Silver Stars and five Bronze Stars. He was believed to be the most decorated Native American soldier of the Vietnam War, according to U.S. Department of Defense reports.

I wonder if we will here anything PGR wise. I would love to ride a mission in honor of this man!

i did some checking, billy died from "agent orange complications"!

 

 

finally ,after 30+ years, our gov.t is admitting that agent orange caused health problems!!!!!

 

 

he was also THE most decorated soldier,of any race, in the viet nam war!

Admitting it is one thing, doing the right thing an entirely different kettle of fish.... as many of us know first hand....

Rest in Peace Brother, your war is finally over. Now it's time for the Gov't to do the right thing. Hope the PGR will do an Honor Mission for this Warrior. It would be an Honor to ride it.
