Well except the fights with my brothers before they pinned on a badge.🤪🤪🤪 Almost got the bike ready for Vogel, anybody recommend a brand of oil when I change it?

Expand Best off using the slippery stuff that they get out of the ground now-a-days, just check that it's not too slippery or the clutch will have issues, maybe.

Expand That's a big can of worms you just opened. I use Rotella T 5/40 in the blue bottle. I buy it by the gallon at Walmart. I used to use Mobil 4T motorcycle racing oil but it cost a lot more. Just make sure whatever you choose is ok for wet clutches.

etcswjoe Posted August 10, 2023 #88 Posted August 10, 2023 I guess that means I need to go out and buy oil. 1 1
Woody Posted August 13, 2023 Author #89 Posted August 13, 2023 we are all packed up and ready to roll, been raining every day I loaded the bike yesterday and it turned out to be a beautiful day today I could have rode and tried out my latest project oh well I guess it will get broke in at Vogel.
Motorcycle Mike Posted August 13, 2023 #90 Posted August 13, 2023 All that rain you've been getting , we've been getting a couple of hours later. Some were pretty big storms. It looks like the weather is going to cooperate for most of the week. But if there is rain I have no doubt that we will find it. See ya Tuesday!
RDawson Posted August 13, 2023 #91 Posted August 13, 2023 Been storming here the last few weeks, record setting rainfall and temps. Cooling down tomorrow, low 60’s when I leave Wednesday and 90’s when I come back Sunday.
Skid Posted August 14, 2023 #92 Posted August 14, 2023 I just changed my oil this week and used Mobile V-Twin 20W-50, but I'm running a completely different breed.
Riderduke Posted August 14, 2023 #93 Posted August 14, 2023 I'll be coming in on Thursday late afternoon.. I'm staying at the Comfort Inn... I'm soo looking forward to this weekend

Woody Posted August 17, 2023 Author #96 Posted August 17, 2023 We have had three days of great rides and fine eating hope to be able to post pictures soon
Motorcycle Mike Posted August 20, 2023 #98 Posted August 20, 2023 Another Vogel in the books. We had a great time and enjoyed seeing everyone. Thanks R Dawson for the carb sinc. Only 51 weeks until Asheville. 1
Skid Posted August 20, 2023 #99 Posted August 20, 2023 I’m home safely after a great time seeing & riding with everyone. When I left out this morning from the campground, the GPS said ETA was 1:44 pm. I got home at 1:26 pm. I beat the GPS by 18 minutes with two stops for gas. Not bad for an old Harley 1
RDawson Posted August 20, 2023 #100 Posted August 20, 2023 Had a great time, rolled in about 2:30 after a couple gas stops and a brunch break.
