Ole Frog Posted November 9, 2022 #1 Posted November 9, 2022 (edited) I have seen a lot of talk about people needing rear shocks rebuilt for our RSV's I was in the same boat I looked into both having my shock repaired by @dfitzbiz and I contacted and spoke to the people at Hagon Both methods have their positives and their negatives But in looking at Partzilla they offered an OEM shock for about $780 the web site said it will ship in 2-3 Days So I decided to pull the trigger (yes I know sometimes waiting can be a crap shoot with them) I ordered the shock on a Monday, it shipped by Friday, and I received it on Saturday (I paid the few dollars for upgraded shipping) the new shock was almost an exact fit There was one difference, this was a superseded part number and the new shock was for later model RSV's Which means it comes with a vent tube going into the rubber accordion boot. The shock came with a peel and stick retainer clip to secure the vent tube up near the battery The ride is awesome I have about 30 pounds of air no more bouncing after I hit a bump TLDR - Partzilla can get a new OEM shock minor differences for the early RSV's expensive $780 but the ride is awesome Edited November 29, 2022 by Ole Frog
